How do I come up with the idea for a book?

It varies. Sometimes it comes from a conversation with my friends, but most often it is a fantasy of mine. The idea for the book I'm currently working on, Coded for Love came to me as I was talking to a friend about getting a promotion. I thought what would happen if this guy was hot, secretly your new boss and he found you attractive? The idea was born.
